Introducing our JGHS Family Outreach Liaison for 2023-24

Dear Justin Garza High School Community,

We are thrilled to introduce Hugo Caballero as our Family Outreach Liaison for the upcoming academic year, 2023-2024. In this role, Mr. Caballero will be a dedicated resource, ensuring that every parent, guardian, and family member receives the support and assistance they need to foster a successful educational journey for their children.

Hello my name is Hugo Caballero I'm the Family Outreach Liaison (Spanish), I’m very excited to be able to work with our students and families. I’m excited to help our students with all the resources that are available for them to be able to graduate and have all the support they may need.

Modern families often face numerous challenges that can impact a student's participation in both academic and extracurricular activities. To provide effective education to our diverse student population, fostering strong communication and collaborative relationships with parents is essential. Mr. Caballero, as our liaison, will be the catalyst for building bridges between the school, families, and the wider community.

Mr. Caballero's role encompasses several critical aspects:

- **Enhanced Communication:** He will facilitate open lines of communication between parents and the school, ensuring that information flows seamlessly in both directions.

- **Community Agency Referrals:** Mr. Caballero will connect families with external resources and services that can further support their needs.

- **Encouraging Family Involvement:** Encouraging and fostering active participation of parents and families in school activities to create a vibrant and supportive educational environment.

- **Building Trust:** By nurturing trust and understanding between parents and the educational community, Mr. Caballero will create an atmosphere conducive to positive collaboration.

- **Boosting Academic Achievement:** Through close collaboration with school staff, and messaging the importance of regular school attendance, Mr. Caballero will contribute to higher academic achievement by pooling resources and expertise.

Our goal at Justin Garza High School is to empower all parents to actively engage in their child's education. We especially want to support those parents who may require assistance in navigating the educational process, feel less engaged in school activities, or simply seek clarification about their roles.

Mr. Caballero will serve as the bridge between home and school. He understands that sometimes parents might hesitate to communicate directly with teachers or administration. We value this crucial communication link, as it significantly influences a student's academic journey. He will attentively listen to parents' concerns, ensuring that these concerns are shared, understood, and addressed collaboratively with the school.
